김수관(조선대학교치의학전문대학원) 교수 연구팀이 2012년 SCI 학술지에 16편의 논문을 게재하는 성과를 올렸다.

그중 치의학 관련 대표 SCI 저널인 Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pathol Oral Radiol에 5편이나 게재되면서 치의학계의 이목을 집중시켰다.

5편을 살펴보면 3월호에 ‘Clinical study of the relationship between implant stability measurements using Periotest and Osstell mentor and bone quality assessment’를 주제로, 7월호에는 ‘Influence of unilateral tooth loss in the temporomandibular joint and masseter muscle of rabbits’과

'Prospective study of tapered RBM surface implant stability in the maxillary posterior area'를, 10월호는 ‘Experimental study of bone response to hydroxyapatite coating implants: bone-implant contact and removal torque test’에 대한 주제 논문이었으며. 마지막 11월호에는 ‘Effect of guided bone regeneration with or without pericardium bioabsorbable membrane on bone formation’에 대해 실렸다.

김수관 교수는 “세계 유수 학회지에 치의학에 대한 논문이 잇따라 게재됨으로써 치과용 소재부품에 대한 관심과 학문적 근거를 인정하는 계기를 마련 한 것”이라며 “세계에서도 연구팀의 연구력을 인정하고 있다는 사실에 자긍심을 느낀다”고 말했다.

현재 김 교수 연구팀은 임플란트, 골이식재, 차단막, 악교정 수술, 구강용품 분야에서 공적을 인정받고 있다.

한편 조선대학교 치과용 정밀장비 및 부품 지역혁신센터장을 맡고 있는 김 교수는 “센터에 구축된 첨단 기자재 활용기술로 지역 치과산업구조를 고도화 하고, ‘미래형 치과산업 벨트구축’을 지원하기 위해 노력 중”이라고 덧붙였다.
